Schumback is an anthropologist and professor for the Department of Anthropology at Southern Arkansas University. He has conducted extensive studies into the archaeology of the Mississippian cultures. This sub-type was identified during his study of the Gary point. This is a sub-type and has limited professional references.
Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thick medium to large triangular contracting stem point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate. The shoulders are weak to absent and at a upward angle. The stem is broad and contracting with a convex base. This point is generally more crudely made and has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements:
Length - 27 to 67 mm (average 55 mm), Width - 15 to 23 mm (average 18 mm), Thickness - 4 to 11 mm (average 8 mm).

These points fall into the Gary Class C points which has an angle of greater 171 degrees between the stem and the shoulders.
