Schumback is an anthropologist and professor for the Department of Anthropology at Southern Arkansas University. He has conducted extensive studies into the archaeology of the Mississippian cultures. This sub-type was identified during his study of the Gary point. This is a sub-type and has limited professional references.
Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thick medium to large triangular contracting stem point with an elliptical cross section. The blade may range from straight to excurvate. The shoulders are at an upward taper. The stem is contracting and may have a pointed base, or the stem may be slightly expanding and have a convex base. This point is often crudely made with a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements:
Length - 27 to 67 mm (average 55 mm), Width - 15 to 23 mm (average 18 mm), Thickness - 4 to 11 mm (average 8 mm).

This variation is commonly crudely made with narrow poorly defined shoulders and a rounded base. This point falls into Gary Type B points.
