Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium to large (2.25 to 3.5 inches) triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is usually excurvate but may vary to almost straight.  The shoulders may range from horizontal to having a slightly upward slope.  The stem is straight and usually wider than it is long.  The base is primarily straight, but may vary from slightly concave to slightly convex.  The stem is commonly ground and has basal grinding.  The flaking pattern is primarily random, but many examples have a collateral flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 56 to 88 mm (63 mm average), Stem Length - 13 to 15 mm (14 mm average),  Blade Width - 26 to 32 mm (30 mm average),  Stem Width - 16 to 18 mm (17 mm average), Thickness - 9 to 11 mm
