Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin large (three to nine inches) triangular knife with a thin flattened cross section. The blade is recurvate, curving in at the tip, curving back out towards the mid point, curving back in on the bottom half of the blade, and curving back out towards the base. The base is primarily straight, but may vary from slightly concave. This bi-face has thinning flakes expanding out from the preform and terminating at the center of the blade. Beveling rarely is seen on the lower left blade. Many examples have a high quality of workmanship. This knife has a random flaking pattern.

This knife is believed to have been used for cutting vegetable matter and meats (Turner and Hester, 1985).
