Hutchison is an avocational archaeologist from Alabama. This point was named in the Central States Archaeological Journal (1991), Wright Variety of the Cotaco Creek point, Vol 38 pg 210. No professional references to this type was located, but many collector source references were found. This is considered a collectors type

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium stemmed point. The cross section may be elliptical, flattened, or rhomboid. The blade may range from straight to excurvate or an outward recurvate. The blade is commonly asymmetrical with fine serrations. The shoulders may vary from an upward angle to slightly barbed. The shoulders are commonly asymmetrical. The stem is straight with a straight to slightly convex base. This point has a random flaking pattern.
