This is a
medium triangular corner notched point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is primarily excurvate, but may vary to straight. The
shoulders are slightly barbed to horizontal with an expanding stem. The base is concave with rounded basal corners. This point has a random flaking pattern.

anthropologist who conducted extensive studies and excavations in the New England area. He was appointed to New York State Archaeologist and worked in the New York State
Museum as a research associate. This point was named in a professional publication. This type has limited professional references possibly due to overlapping
characteristics with the Kirk Corner Notch. Many publications regarding the Wells Bridge site refer to these points as Kirk Corner Notch or Kirk Variant and do not use this name. This is considered a
provisional type.
