Loyd Doty reports:

ARDEN (Corner Notch) – was named by self taught archaeologist Louis Arthur Brennan for examples recovered from the type site near the town of Arden, Orange County, New York.  They are small (1 ½ to 2”) often finely serrated projectiles or knives with barbed shoulders and expanded stems with concave bases.  One barb may be weak and round while the other is pronounced.  Distribution is New York and they were in use during the Early Archaic period.  Reference: Brennan, Louis A. 1974.
