Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small (1.25 to 1.75 inch) triangular stemmed to expanding stem point with a flattened cross section.  The blade is primarily straight with a sharp tip. The stem is long and slightly expanding.  The base may range from straight to slightly convex.  This point has a random flaking pattern.   
Size Measurements:

Total Length - 31 to 60 mm (average 40 to 50 mm),  Stem Length - 10 to 15 mm,  Blade Width - 17 to 34 mm (average 25 to 30 mm),  Stem Width - 15 to 30 m (average 25 to 30 mm),  Neck Width - 15 to 25 mm,  Thickness - 5 to 10 mm.

Bolen Plain - Sub-type 3 is similar to this point, but this point lacks any basal / hafting region grinding which is present on the Bolen type (Bullen, 1975).

These points are similar in outline to the Columbia point, but these points tend to be shorter than the Columbia point.
