Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small triangular to pentagonal point with an elliptical to flattened cross section. The blade may vary from excurvate to straight. The blade may angle in at the tip giving the point a slight pentagonal shape. The base is concave and generally has a deep concave to V shape. This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point has overlapping characteristics and is often found with Starr points (Turner and Hester, 1985). However, The McGloin point does not usually exhibit the very fine flaking found on Maud and Turney points (Moore, 2015).
