This is a small to medium thin triangular side notch point with a flattened cross section. The blade is slightly excurvate with horizontal shoulders. Parallel U shaped notches enter the preform low on the blade forming a horizontal shoulder. The stem is square and expanded with a slightly concave base. The basal region is commonly slightly contracting and has a square appearance and is slightly narrower than the maximum width of the blade. This point has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements: Total Length - 21 to 48 mm (average 25 to 35 mm), Stem Length - 6 to 8 mm, Blade Width - 12 to 21 mm, Neck Width - 11 to 14 mm, Stem Width - 11 to 18 mm
This point is most commonly found in Alberta and into Montana. This point may be found into Colorado with decreased frequency.
