Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small to medium triangular corner to side notch point with an elliptical to flattened cross section. The blade is primarily excurvate, but re-worked examples may have a straight to incurvate blade. The blade is asymmetrical with only one blade being notched. A notch on a single blade may enter the blade from the corner or low on the side of the preform. (Examples that were re-worked from another type of point has the blade reduced on one side, removing the notch and the shoulders and stem resemble the re-worked type). The shoulders may vary from horizontal to slightly barbed. The stem is expanding with a straight to slightly convex base. This point has a random flaking pattern.
