Sanders was a distinguish archaeologist who served as staff archaeologist for the Kentucky Heritage Commission, the State Heritage Preservation Office. He conducted extensive studies and excavations throughout Kentucky. This point was identified in a professional publication, but has limited professional references. This is a provisional type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is thick and most commonly straight or may vary to slightly excurvate.  The blade usually lack serrations, but some examples may be serrated.  The shoulders are generally slightly barbed, but may vary to horizontal.  The stem is straight to slightly expanding with a straight base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.
