Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium lanceolate to triangular stemmed point with a median ridge cross section.  The blade is narrow and varies from straight to recurvate with the tip curving in, becoming parallel or narrowing towards the mid section, and flaring back out towards the shoulders.  The shoulders range from horizontal to slightly barbed.  The stem is short and may range from slightly expanding to slightly contracting with a convex base.  This point has a collateral flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 55 to 95 mm,  Blade Width at shoulders - 23 to 28 mm

This point is primarily found in the Coastal Plains and into the Piedmont of southern Virginia and northern North Carolina.
