Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a narrow medium to large triangular contracting stem point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily excurvate, but may range to straight.  The shoulders vary from horizontal to having an upward angle.  The shoulders are commonly asymmetrical with one shoulder being more horizontal than the other shoulder.  The stem is contracting with a convex base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Length - 65 to 100 mm, Stem Length - 18 to 26 mm,  Blade Width - 25 to 25 mm.

This point is primarily found in the Schuylkill River Valley of eastern Pennsylvania and into the Susquehanna River Valley of eastern Pennsylvania western New Jersey, and northeastern Maryland.

This point is similar to the Poplar Island point.  The shoulders of this point are more pronounced and angular than the shoulders of the Poplar Island which has rounder shoulders.
