This is a small triangular side notch point with a flattened cross section. The blade is straight with parallel notches that enter high on the blade. The base makes up
1/3 to 1/2 the total length of the point. The base may vary from straight to concave. This point has a random flaking pattern.

This type was named after the Salado culture, but the name is applied to points found outside the cultural distribution of the Salado culture. This type appears to be a mixture of
types with large basal areas including, Point of the Pines, Walnut Canyon, Ruin Ridge, ect.
