Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium triangular stemmed point with a flattened to elliptical cross section.  The blade is may range from straight to excurvate.  The shoulders may vary from horizontal to having an upward slope.  The stem is straight with rounded basal corners.  The base is concave with a center indention.  Basal thinning is commonly seen on this point.  Basal grinding may be light, but is not present on most examples.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This is a regional variant of the Savannah River point.  This point is distinguished from the Savannah River point by the rounded basal corners and center concave indention in the base.
