Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin small triangular point with a flattened cross section. The blade may vary from straight to slightly excurvate and may be serrated. The point may form an isosceles triangle (half as wide as the height), or an equilateral triangle (as wide as the height). The base is primarily straight to slightly convex, less frequently slightly concave. This point is generally made from a flake so the flaking may vary from bi-facially to uni-facially flaked with many examples having un-flaked surfaces. Some examples have had careful quality workmanship, but most are crudely made and has a random flaking pattern.
