Additional Comments:

These were found in association with Roanoke Large Triangle points at the Gaston Site. The difference between the two type was size and Coe felt that the difference in size divided the two types and that this was a distinct type separate from the Roanoke Large Triangular, Coe felt that the Roanoke Triangular was an older type point and was more closely associated with the Vincent Phase while the Clements was a newer type (Ward and Davis, 1999). Since that time this type has fell out of favor with this type appearing in older publications and being left out of newer publications cataloging projectile points of North Carolina and Virginia.
