Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a small narrow side notch point with a flattened cross section.  The is narrow and excurvate and commonly serrated.  The vary from horizontal to having a slightly upward angle.  The stem is expanded and is the widest part of the point.  The base may range from straight to slightly concave.  This point has a random flaking pattern.    

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 16 to 28 mm,  Stem Length - 5 to 8 mm,  Blade Width - 6 to 9 mm,  Neck Width - 3 to 6 mm,  Basal Width - 8 to 14 mm

This point is primarily found in regions associated with the Mimbre culture of southwestern New Mexico and into southeastern Arizona, northwestern Chihuahua and northeastern Sonora.
