Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a broad medium triangular basal notch point with an elliptical
cross section. The blade is broad and primarily excurvate, but may
range to straight or slightly incurvate. The shoulders are barbed,
commonly extending to the base of the point. The stem ranges from
parallel to expanding with a straight to slightly concave base.

Carlson is a distinguished anthropologist and professor for the Department
of Anthropology, University of Washington. Carlson has conducted extensive
studies into the archaeology of Canada. This point was identified in a
professional publication. Currently only two examples have been recovered
from the southwestern Yukon ice patches. More research is needed on
this type. This is
considered a provisional type.
