This point was named in his book on points of the Southwest. There are currently few professional references to this type, but that may be due to the limited distribution and number of examples. Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small to medium ovoid shaped point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate, curving in at the tip and curving back in at the base. Many examples have serrated blades extending from the tip to the base. The basal edge is rounded with a straight to convex base. This point has a random flaking pattern.
