Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small
to medium triangular
contracting stem point with an elliptical cross section. The blade may vary from straight to incurvate. The blade is
deeply serrated and is commonly as thick as it is wide. The shoulders are barbed which are formed by notching the base of the preform. The basal notching forms a short contracting stem with a convex base. This point has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements: Total Length - 15 to
55 mm (average 25 to 35 mm), Stem Length - 2 to 5 mm, Blade
Width - 10 to 16 mm, Stem Width - 3 to 6 mm, Thickness - 3
to 6 mm

This point is primarily found in the Salt and Gila River valley's, but may be found through out southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico in Hohokam Cultural and trading regions.
Distribution extends into Sonora and Chihuahua, Mexico. Full
distribution in Mexico is not known.
