Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a large triangular point with an elliptical cross section. The blade ranges from slightly excurvate to incurvate depending on the degree of re-sharpening. Alternating beveling is commonly present. The base ranges from straight to slightly convex with rounded basal corners. This point has a random flaking pattern.

These knifes are commonly found in association with Thebes points. It has been suggested that these represent preforms for Thebes points. Marrow (2001) refutes this noting that there has been no evidence that they were later notched.
