Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small to medium triangular side notch point with a rhomboid cross section.  The blade is straight and is beveled and serrated.  Parallel shallow notches form weak shoulders which may be horizontal or at an upward angle.  The stem is expanding with a convex base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements:

Total Length - 25 to 35 mm,  Stem Length - 9 to 15 mm (average 10 mm),  Blade Width - 18 to 30 mm,  Stem Width - range from slightly wider to slight narrower than blade,  Neck Width - 15 to 23 mm.

It has been suggested that these are Palmer points that have been re-sharpened (Coe, 1964).

The Central States Archaeological Journal have discussed this point under the name Escusta (CSAJ, Vol 2 Pg 15).
