Kent is an anthropologist and a professor at Pennsylvania State University and York College of Pennsylvania.  He specializes in anthropology of Pennsylvania.  This type was named in a professional publication but has limited professional references to this type.  This type has many collector source references.  This is considered a provisional type needing greater professional recognition.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily straight, but may vary to slightly excurvate.  The shoulders range from horizontal most commonly to having a slight upward angle.  The stem varies from straight to slightly expanding with a straight to slightly convex base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements:

Length - 45 to 110 mm,  Stem Length - 10 to 15 mm,  Blade Width - 20 to 35 mm, Stem Width - 15 to 22 mm

This point is primarily found in the Susquehanna River Basin of Pennsylvania and into New York.  This point may be found into New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland with decreased frequency.
