Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a short small triangular expanding stem point with a flattened to elliptical cross section.  The blade is wide and excurvate.  Deep notches enter the blade from the corners of the point forming long shoulder barbs.  The notches enter the blade about one third the length of the point.  The stem varies from slightly expanding to expanding with a convex base.  The stem commonly has a bulbous appearance.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is primarily found in New Mexico and into Arizona in the regions inhabited by the Mogollon Culture.  Distribution extends into the panhandle and Llano Estacado regions of Texas.  This point is rarely found into the  Eastern Trans-Pecos and Big Bend Region.
