Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small triangular expanding stem point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade may vary from straight to recurvate, curving in at the tip and flaring out at the shoulder edge.  The shoulders may range from horizontal to barbed.  The stem is most commonly expanding, but may range to straight.  The base is usually straight, but may be slightly convex.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Additional Comments:

This point is commonly mistyped as a Homan point (Turner and Hester, 1985), but the Homan type has a bulbous stem where this point's stem does not have that appearance.

This point is similar to the Alba type. However, this type has shoulders that are barbed and flared while this is not characteristic of the Alba type (Davis, 1995).

In the latest publication of Turner et al (2011), this type is not discussed. It has been speculated that they no longer feel that this represents a valid type (Moore, 2015).
