Point Validity: Collector Type
This is not a true variant of the Kirk type. This name
describes a characteristic of the point, one that has had the base intentionally or accidently snapped or broken off. Because of the missing base a true identification of Kirk can not be made on the
characteristics of the point and must be made associated points found along with the point in question. This type has many references in collectors sources. This is a collector type.
