Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a small to medium triangular side notch point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily excurvate, but may become straight in re-sharpened examples.  Small parallel C-shaped notches enter the blade forming a horizontal shoulder and expanded stem.  The basal edge is contracting with a concave or V shaped base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is primarily found in the upper Cedar River Valley of southeastern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa.  This point may be found into southwestern Wisconsin.
