Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a small to medium triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily straight, but may vary to excurvate.  The shoulders may vary from having an upward slope to horizontal and are broad.  The stem may range from straight to slightly convex.  The basal edge is primarily thick, but may have basal thinning.  Many examples have a long stem, one third to one half the length of the point.  Many examples have a short stubby appearance.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 37 to 60 mm (41 mm average), Stem Length - 7 to 12 mm (9 mm average),  Blade Width -18 to 23 mm (21 mm average),  Stem Width - 11 to 16 mm (15 mm average), Thickness - 7 to 10 mm

This point is primarily found in the Tennessee River valley and it's tributaries.

Some examples may take the appearance of a Bradley Spike point, except this point is broader with a blade that has more of a triangular blade.  Smaller examples may resemble a Coosa Point (Cambron, 1975).
