Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a broad medium to large (2 to over 4 inches) lanceolate stemmed point with an elliptical to median ridge cross section.  The blade is broad and primarily excurvate with the tip curving in and the edges becoming parallel.  The blade may have an ovoid appearance.  The shoulders are generally horizontal, but may vary to having a slightly upward angle.  The stem is straight with a convex base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is a sub-type of the Beat point most commonly associated with the Ipiutak culture.  This point is found within the Brooks Range and north.
