Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large triangular corner notch point with an
elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate being widest just
above the shoulders. The diagonal notch enters from the corner of
the preform forming a barbed shoulder and an expanding stem. The
stem is straight. This point is made using percussion flaking and
finished bi-facially using fine pressure flaking to shape and sharpen
the point forming a flaking pattern.
Size Measurements: Length - 42 to 77 mm, Stem Length - 12 to 17 mm, Blade Width -
28 to 38 mm, Basal Stem Width - 24 to 31 mm, Neck
Width - 12 to 18 mm, Thickness - 6 to 10 mm (average 8 mm)
