Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a large to very large ovoid blade with a flattened cross section.  The blade is narrow and excurvate, curving in at the tip and curving back in towards the base.  The blade edges are commonly smoothed.  The base may vary from pointed to convex.  This blade has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 100 to 200 mm,  Blade Width - 15 to 35 mm

This blade is associated with the Caddo culture and is found at sites associated with the Caddo in Arkansas and into Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana.

No professional references to this type were found.  This type was discussed in the Smithsonian in the early 1900's and was based on large ceremonial type blades associated with the Caddoan Culture.  This type is highly references as a true type in collector sources.  This is considered a collectors type.
