This is a broad medium to large (2 to 5 inches) triangular point with a flattened cross section. The blade is excurvate rarely will beveling be present on the blade. The base is primarily straight, but may range to concave with basal corners that range from squared to rounded. Basal thinning is commonly present, but basal grinding is never present. This point commonly has a high quality of workmanship and is produced with broad percussion flaking and finished along the edges o the blade and base with fine pressure flaking.

This point is primarily found in the Tampa Bay region of Florida. It has been reported as far south as the Harney region of Florida and into southern Georgia.
