Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a large ovoid bi-point knife with a rhomboid cross section. The blade is excurvate, especially when new, as the blade is re-sharpened the blade can take on straight edges and become asymmetrical. One blade on each face is beveled. This knife has a random flaking pattern.

Total Length - 45 to 190 mm (average 70 to 100 mm), Width - 20 to 50 mm

Opposing edges on each face is beveled forming four beveled edges which is why this knife is called the Four Bevel Knife by some.

This point is primarily found from the Mississippi River basin into the Plains of the United States and Canada and into Mexico. This knife has been reported into the Ohio and Tennessee River basin to the east. There have been limited references to this knife into the Yukon and Northwest Territories of Canada.
