Rogers has conducted extensive studies into the archaeology of Texas and has been published regarding knifes of Texas.  This type was named in his book and has limited collector type preferences.  This is considered a collectors type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin medium triangular expanding stem point with an elliptical to flattened cross section.  The blade is recurvate, with the tip having a slight curve and the shoulder having an exaggerated flaring.  Many examples have a shoulder edge of the blade becoming horizontal or curving back up towards the tip.  The shoulders are prominent and at an upward angle or rounded from the stem to the shoulders edge.  The stem may range from slightly expanding to expanding  with a straight to concave base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Total Length - 40 to 60 mm,  Stem Length - 5 to 10 mm, Max Blade Width - 25 to 30 mm,  Neck Width - 13 to 18 mm,  Stem Width - 15 to 20 mm

This point is primarily found in Natchitoches Parish of northwestern Louisiana and into eastern Texas.  This point may also be found into southwestern Arkansas and southeastern Oklahoma.
