Morrow is a professional archaeologist who has served in many professional archaeologist roles including Chief Archaeologist for the State of Iowa.  This point was named in his book on Iowa projectile points and has many professional references to this type.  This is a valid type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular side notch point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is excurvate with the blade curving in towards the tip and becoming more parallel towards the mid-section.  Some examples have the blade curving back in toward the shoulders.  Wide shallow parallel notches form a shoulder that is weak and at an upward angle.  The stem is expanding with a straight base and rounded basal corners.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is primarily found in the Iowa River Valley of Iowa, southern Minnesota, and northwestern Illinois, and into southwestern Wisconsin.
