Justice is a distinguished anthropologist and Assistant Director and Curator of Collections at Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology at Indiana University.  This point was named in his book on points of the Southwest.  This type has several professional references.  This is considered a valid type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small triangular side notch point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade may vary from excurvate to straight.  The blade is serrated which may vary from deep serrations to fine serrations.  Shallow parallel notched enter low on the blade and have a wide U - shape.  The shoulders are weak and have an upward angle.  The stem is short and expanding.  The base is primarily convex, but may vary to almost straight.   These point were made using a pressure flaking in an overlapping chevron pattern giving many examples an oblique flaking pattern.  Re-sharpening of this point may give it a random flaking pattern.

Total Length - 30 to 55 mm,  Stem Length - 6 to 10 mm,  Blade Width - 11 to 19 mm,  Neck Width - 10 to 16 mm,  Stem Width - 14 to 19 mm
