Michael Spence is a distinguished anthropologist who retired Professor Emeritus from the Department of Anthropology, University of Western Ontario. He conducted extensive research in Mexico and Ontario. This type was identified in his publication on cultures of Mexico.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular side notch point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is narrow and excurvate with the edges above the shoulders becoming almost parallel and curving back in towards the point.  Wide shallow notches enter the side of the preform forming a shoulder that is weak and at an upward angle.  The stem is expanding, narrower than the shoulders with a straight base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.  small pentagonal stemmed point with a flattened cross section.
