This type is rarely references, but it does have professional recognition in West Virginia.  The first mention of this type was Bettye Broyles in 1976 discussing the Late Archaic component of the site.  That may have been where the point was first named.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is excurvate with shoulders that are rounded and at an upward angle.  The stem is straight with a straight to slightly convex base.  This point has a random flaming pattern.
