Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large (2.5 to 4.5 inches) triangular expanding stem point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is serrated and may vary from excurvate when new and incurvate or recurvate (curving in at the tip and flaring out at the shoulders) when heavily re-sharpened.  Heavy re-sharpening forms steep edges.  The shoulders may range from barbed to having an upward angle.  The shoulders are reduced with heavy re-sharpening.  Many examples have weak shoulders.  The stem may vary from slightly expanding to expanding with a convex base.  The basal corners are rounded giving the stem a bulbous appearance.  Hafting region grinding is commonly present.  This point has a random flaking pattern.
