Loyd Doty notes:

BALD MOUNTAIN (Stemmed) –  was described by archaeologist Gregory White for examples recovered sites near Bald Mountain in California.  They are medium sized (2.50” to 3.50”) wide blades with straight or expanded edges, expanded stems with round and ground bases.  Distribution is northern California and they were in use during the Early Archaic period.  The Bald Mountain wide stemmed type is similar to the Borax Lake wide-stemmed.
