Additional Comments:

This cluster may represent the continuation of the Great Basin Stemmed Cluster. Points in the Great Basin Stemmed Cluster are older than points from this cluster and may represent a migration from the Great Basin southward. Progression appears to be Silver Lake points (Great Basin Cluster) evolving into the Jay point followed by the Bajada and Escobas points followed by the Rio Grande point. This style of points appear to continue migrating southward with points in Mesoamerica Simular points in Meso-Aamerica include the Hidalgo point and the Jora point.
