Color: Washademoak Lake Chert is variegated with multiple colors occurring with shades of red to an orangish red and bluish gray to gray being the predominate color.  Jasper also occurs.

Washademoak Lake Chert is associated with brecciated limestone in the Cumberland Group of New Brunswick primarily occurring as lenses and nodules in the lower St. Johns River Valley of New Brunswick.  Also has exposures in the Belyeas Cove on Washademoak Lake in Queens County, New Brunswick. .
