Color:  Taylor Bed Silcrete ranges from a gray to light tan commonly iron stained.  Remnants of wood and cattails are commonly present.

Taylor Bed Silcrete caps the Dean Member of the Golden Valley formation of western North Dakota.  Primary outcroppings occur in south central Adams county and western Morton County.  Drift has been found from throughout southwestern North Dakota from Fort Yates into Montana and Mountrail County into South Dakota.
