Stanley Chert is associated with the Stanley Shale Formation of Oklahoma
occurring as thin beds in the middle and upper portions of the formation
in the Ouachita Mountains west of the Ti Fault. Named for
exposures near Stanley, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.
