Sinks Grove Chert is associated with the Sinks Grove Limestone Member of the Greenbrier Limestone Formation of southeastern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia.  Primarily occurs as nodules around Sinks Grove in Monroe County also in Giles and Washington County Virginia and in Mercer County, West Virginia.
