Sierra Fresnal - West Obsidian occurred in the west coalesced rhyolite dome near Sierra Fresnal.  Marekanites have not been found in-situ at the dome, but below the dome eroding towards Arroyo Seco south of Nuevo Casas Grandes and at Lago Fredrico, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Sierra Fresnal West and Sierra Fresnal East have different geochemical signatures.
