Distribution Comments:

 Ouachita Novaculite are associated with the Ouachita Novaculite Formation and the lower Pine Top Formation occurring in beds in the Ouachita mountains of Arkansas and into Oklahoma.  The lower portion of this formation is also called Pine Top Chert.
