Oak Bay Chert / Vein Quartz is associated with the Oak Bay Formation of New Brunswick.  Primary exposures occur on the western shore of Oak Bay at Oak Haven in Charlotte County, New Brunswick.  Exposures also occur from Cookson Island to the St. Croix River and from the head of Oak Bay to Clarence Stream and into Maine.  Formation name may be different in Maine.
